There are quite many search engines available at this time. Every one of them work very similar to each other. Results showing (ordering) is based on site ranking (numerical), usually marked between 0 and 10.
Not all of them has got their own ranking system (algorythm), so they use one of the most common's search engine ranking values.
Whole website rank is influenced by:
- Number of backlinks
- Quality of backlinks (as higher ranking as better)
- Traffic
- Freshness of your site (fresher is good)
- Age of your website (older is better)
- Set your website as homepage or Bookmark it
